Around 140 young skateboarders, scooterists and BMX bikers descended onto Croxley Green Skate Park on Saturday, September 10, to show off their skills in the annual Skate Jam contest.
Organised by the leisure team at Three Rivers District Council (TRDC), the long-running event saw some fantastic entrants across a variety of categories, with some amazing tricks seen throughout the day.
In the scooting categories, Josh Hanson, Tyler Latchford and Taylor Barden claimed the beginner, intermediate and advanced titles respectively, with Taylor also winning the prize for best trick.
As for skateboarding, Benjamin Burmingham came top in the Beginner category, Bailey Brown claimed the award for best trick (beginner), and Paco Molina won both the advanced category and best trick (advanced) prizes.
Awards were handed out by leader of TRDC, councillor Debbie Morris, who said: “It’s great to see local young people enjoying the skate park and participating in such an enjoyable event.
“Skating, scooting and BMXing help young people keep active, stay healthy and build confidence.”
Attendees at the contest could also enjoy an inflatable gladiator jousting arena, sumo wrestling, graffiti workshops and free food provided by local fish and chip restaurant, the Corner Plaice.
