Chiltern University of the Third Age (u3a) is inviting Amersham residents to sign up to the group in time for the first ever national u3a Day next month.
Chiltern u3a is a member-led organisation based in and around Amersham, offering a wide range of physical, intellectual and creative interest groups, regular speakers and social events.
It is open to anyone in their ‘third age’ – no longer in full-time work or other full-time commitment.
Chiltern u3a’s members can choose activities from over 100 interest groups, including everything from ancient cultures, drama, dancing, language and music to walking, wine tasting and yoga.
More than half of Cu3a’s interest Groups have been operating with COVID-19 restrictions by embracing technology and running virtual meetings.
Groups are also keeping in touch with their members by email, telephone and regular e-bulletins.
u3a Day, which will take place across on June 2, will celebrate the learning, activity and fun that happens every day in u3a groups across the country.
