Dacorum Borough Council has partnered with Age UK to bring a free family-friendly dinosaur trail to Berkhamsted.
The interactive trail, which can be found on the LoyalFree app, launched on Monday, August 1, and will run over the summer until Wednesday, August 31.
There are 12 locations around Berkhamsted and at each spot there is a poster with a dinosaur question. Participants can stomp along the trail and discover the answers by scanning the QR code on each poster. Explorers who complete the trail, visiting all locations and scanning the QR codes will be entered into a prize draw to win a range of great goodies from participating shops.
Keep your eyes peeled for anagram letters along the way – those who find all the letters and can unscramble them, solving the anagram can submit their answers for an additional chance to win.
Charlie Hussey, development officer at Age UK Dacorum, said: “Age UK Dacorum is very proud and happy to be part of this wonderful, educational, family initiative. A natural alliance for us, as summer school holidays are often a time when grandparents look after their grandchildren, and this is an ideal opportunity for all to participate in a fun activity.”
LoyalFree’s partnership manager Sophie Carrick said: “We are delighted to be able to deliver this trail to our partners. We hope that both locals and visitors to Berkhamsted can enjoy this educational trail, learn some new fascinating facts and enjoy what Berkhamsted has to offer.”
To take part in the trail, download the Loyal Free app from your respective app store and head to the trails section.
