Watford Lions Club has been bringing the Carnival to Abbots Langley since 1982. This year the Carnival and Procession will be held on Saturday, June 11.
Have you ever thought ‘I could be in that Procession’ or ‘We could do that’?’ Well now is your chance! Entry is free and open to all.
There are several Float Entry types, from the highlight of the Procession – the Large Lorry Floats, to the Small Vehicle Floats, but if you do not have a vehicle how about the new category of Trolley (think wheel/s, not motorised, and no passengers), or enter as a Walking Performer or even just a Walking Group.
For the enthusiast there are two other Entry Groups: Classic Car or Vintage Vehicle, and Motorcycle.
The suggested theme in this special Platinum Jubilee year is ‘Celebrating our Royal Heritage’. However it is not essential to follow this theme.
As in past years the procession will assemble on School Mead from 10:00am for Judging of the Float Entries. Leaving promptly at 12 noon, to process around the village, and then arrive at Manor House grounds for the Carnival itself at approximately 1:00pm.
If you would like to join the Procession or simply have a question please contact the organiser, Lynn Luck: abbotsprocession@gmail.com
