Halifax have confirmed that their bank on Ruislip High Street is set to be closed by the end of the year.

The banking giant has confirmed to NORTHWOOD&RUISLIPnews that from December 7, the business will not longer operate out of the site.

A spokesperson for Halifax said: “Visits to our Ruislip branch have fallen over recent years, as many customers now choose to bank in different ways.

“When the branch closes in December, customers can continue to bank in person with us at the Uxbridge High Street branch, or the local Post Office on High Street, which is only a couple of minutes walk away.”

According to statistics provided by the bank, 72 per cent of the personal customers at the branch already use alternative forms of banking, either over the phone, on the web, or through a mobile app.

As well as that, between 2017 and 2022, branch transactions have gone down by 68 per cent.

The bank is contacting customers to let them know about the closure and what replacement methods are available to them. For those wishing to take money out, there are three ATMs within a 00.5 radius of the Halifax.
