Resident Dr. Joan Zanelli took to social media to thank the local chemist, Wilyman Chemists for their hard work during pandemic.
She wrote: “A huge thank you to Greg and all at Wilyman Chemist for being such a special community chemist to us in Croxley Green.
I am one of the shielded patients, in effective house arrest, and need a prescription that is delivered by Tina every fortnight – they never fail.
Dr Zanelli suffered a stroke and has an MS-like illness, therefore she is house bound and needs a rare and expensive immuno suppressant medicine.
Manager Greg, as an independent pharmacist is able to source this medicine from different suppliers as available.
Speaking to CroxleyNews, Dr Joan added: “I cannot thank Greg and his lovely staff enough for ensuring that I never run out of any of my 8 medicines, especially the rare liquid one (which only lasts 2 weeks). Delivery has been absolutely brilliant over the last 8 years. He follows up by phone if there is any delay so I have never actually run out.”
Other people also commented on the local chemist, one person said: “The owner and staff are just amazing! I fell very ill three weeks ago. Staff at the chemist were life savers and delivered all my medication! Thank you thank you thank you for being there on the front line.”
Another person mentioned: “The staff and Greg are always so friendly and efficient. Tough times for them all and still they are there for us all.”
