SHOCK RESIGNATION: Three Rivers district councillor allegedly resigns from council

Published on: 30th January 2025   |   By: The Newsdesk   |   Category: Uncategorized

It is rumoured that a Three Rivers district councillor of more than 20 years is set to resign this week.

Councillor Sara Bedford represents the Abbots Langley and Bedmond ward, and was set to remain a councillor until May 2026.

But reports shared with My Local News suggest that she will soon be stepping down from her position. The reason is not yet known, but sources suggest an official announcement could be made tomorrow (Friday, January 31).

The councillor has been a firm pillar of the Three Rivers community, has been a councillor on the District council for more than 20 years, and has been at the forefront of several council decisions and events.

But she has also faced controversy following allegations of “bullying” and her control over the Abbots Langley Matters Facebook group, which she is no longer admin of.

Cllr Bedford is still a councillor within Abbots Langley Parish Council (ALPC) and Hertfordshire County Council, and chairman of the Review Panel of ALPC.
