Hosea Burton claimed the British light-heavyweight title, taking Miles Shinkwin’s undefeated title. Shinkwin, from Bushey, lost the fight on Saturday, February 27 in the sixth round as the referee stopped the match. Shinkwin fought back from a second-round knockdown, but Burton ended his resistance with an overhand right. The local boxer tweeted after the fight: “Congratulations to @hosea_burton beat what was in front of him. Wasn’t my night, no excuses but would love to do it again.”
