A man has been charged and remanded in connection with an incident in Cassiobury Park, Watford on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 during which a man was injured.
Trey Kabwe, 24, of Abbey Court, Watford has now been charged and remanded for:
- 1 count of possession of a bladed article
- 1 count of GBH
- 1 count of assault by beating of an emergency worker
Following an initial hearing at Hatfield Remand Court on Saturday, March 15, he was remanded into custody.
Kabwe will next appear at St Albans Crown Court for a hearing on Tuesday, April 15.
Officers were called to reports of a stabbing in Watford’s Cassiobury Park on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at around 3.30pm. A quick police response to the scene saw officers quickly arrest Kabwe at the scene.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Detective Sergeant Vicky Sexton of the Watford Local Crime Unit, who is leading the investigation, said: “I know this incident caused a lot of concern within the local area, and I hope that news of the arrest and subsequent charge and remand of Kabwe offers reassurance.”
