Officers are appealing for witnesses after a serious assault occurred in Bushey.
The incident occurred at around 3am today (Tuesday, June 4), in the side street next to Sandy Lane (A41).
It is reported that the victim who was walking towards the location of McDonald’s when he was approached by a vehicle with no lights on. Four men got out of the vehicle and moved towards the victim. Two of the men were described as black, and around 5ft 10in tall and wearing snoods. The other two men were described as white and of mixed ethnic origin respectively.
The victim was reportedly struck with a metal pole in the back of his head which caused him to fall to the floor. He was then struck again, causing injuries to his face and hands.
It was reported that one of the offenders may have been carrying a knife, as the victim suffered slash wounds to the stomach and chest.
Investigator Chloe Harding, of the Hertsmere Local Crime Unit, said: “I am interested in speaking to anyone who might have been in the area around the time of the incident, who may have vital information to support our ongoing investigation.
