Forget Lapland; when it comes to Christmas magic, Kings Langley High Street really gives Santa a run for his sleigh.
The village will once again transform into a twinkling winter wonderland for this year’s Christmas Lights Festival.
Set to take place on Saturday, November 22, the event promises stalls, a funfair, choirs, and the hotly anticipated best dressed window competition.
One of the organisers, councillor Gerry Angiolini, shared with KINGSnews: “It is worth all the hard work of the parish council, Community Action Dacorum, and a myriad of other supporters and organisations as it is a highlight of the village calendar. It is also a golden opportunity to support all our local shops.”
St Lauras Care Home has invited the guest of honour and his elves into their seasonally decorated garden, as children of all ages are invited to meet Father Christmas.
Mayor of Dacorum councillor Catherine McArevey and Gagan Mohindra, MP for South West Hertfordshire, will turn on the lights at 5pm.
