A newly refurbished children’s playground in Pinner Memorial Park is set to reopen next month.
Work has been underway at the park throughout the summer to install new equipment, improved safety surfacing, and secure fencing which the council says is “all designed to give local families a safe and welcoming place to play”.
The work is part of a wider £6million programme from Harrow Council, which is investing in parks and play spaces over the next three years.
The project also aims to boost Harrow’s tally of Green Flag parks from six to eight.
A council spokesperson told Pinnernews: “We know how much our young residents and families love using the playgrounds in our parks.
“Pinner Memorial Park is one of many currently undergoing upgrade works. Once complete, children can enjoy their new playground which will include new equipment, new surfaces, fencing and safety features to prevent injuries.
“The works are currently scheduled to be complete by early October.”
