A Ruislip mortgage company has been crowned the Best Mortgage Adviser in the South East and narrowly missed out on coming top in the UK.

Mortgage Scout, which recently re-branded from The Mortgage and Insurance Bureau is based in High Street, Ruislip, and was recognised for its excellence at the recent ESTAS Awards.

The ESTAS highlights recognises the best companies working across the property sector.

Adding to its regional success Mortgage Scout was also named the second-best mortgage adviser in the UK seeing off thousands of other companies.

Kelly McNally, the firm’s general manager said: “We are so proud to have won the south east category and to be in the top two for the UK.

“This competition is purely judged on client votes and comments with no submissions or judging panel so it’s wonderful to know our customer service and more importantly, our amazing clients have put us in this position.

“It’s especially nice because mortgage brokers can’t just enter this award, they have to be nominated by clients.

“It’s testimony to the hard work and expertise of our team and we’d like to say a big thank you to the clients who nominated us. We’re proud of our levels of service and equally proud to have made achieved success in what’s a very competitive industry.

“We changed our company’s name to Mortgage Scout because that’s succinctly what we do so well, scout the whole market and find the best mortgages for our clients.”

Phil Spencer, who has hosted the ESTAS every year since their inception in 2003, said: “The ESTAS encapsulates what your typical mortgage advisor is trying to do, which is to provide honest, transparent service for their clients. These awards are special because shortlisted and winning firms are selected purely on the service they deliver. Real feedback from real customers experiencing real service, I don’t think there can be a greater honour in the industry than to receive an award based on that mantra.”
