Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital care rated as ‘outstanding’

Published on: 19th August 2014   |   By: The Newsdesk   |   Category:

The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital’s (RNOH) medical care has been rated as “outstanding” in a report published by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). At the Stanmore based hospital both surgery and medical care were rated as outstanding in two areas and Children’s care was rated outstanding in one area. The CQC report followed a compliance visit by inspectors earlier this year. The overall rating was dragged down due to the out dated buildings at the Brockley Hill site, which are due for redevelopment once business plans have been approved. Commenting on the inspection, Bob Blackman, MP for Harrow East said: “It is not surprising that most of the services at the hospital have been rated as outstanding, but this report demonstrates why it is vital that the redevelopment of the facilities at Stanmore proceeds without delay so that decent facilities are provided to complement the world-class treatment on offer.”
