The Friends of Roxbourne Park (FORP)  annual Roxy Fest took place on Sunday, September 26 after a two-year break from the event.

The community enjoyed the free festival’s popular dog show, live music from bands, a children’s funfair, local business stalls, charity and community organisations, and food and drink outlets.

Lois Swanger, FORP committee member and lead organiser said: “Fabulous memories were made at the Friends of Roxbourne Park’s Family Funday and Dog Show. The turnout was amazing, the weather glorious and the atmosphere electric, with the local community enjoying a wide range of entertainment.”

The Mayor of Harrow, Councillor Ghazanfar Ali, who opened the event, said: “A Joyful day out, attended by many families and children, young and old. Congratulations and thanks to the members of the Park User Group for organising such a successful event”

The Dog Show was the highlight of the day, with over 200 dogs entering across six categories;

Winners and runners-up received rosettes and goodies bags provided by the sponsor Medivet Pinner, who also judged each of the categories.

James Burgess from Elliot Lee, who sponsored the event said: ‘’Elliot Lee are delighted to have supported such a great day for the community around Roxbourne Park and it was nice to see so many people there on the day.”

The date for Roxy Fest 2022 will be announced in January.
