Published on: 7th September 2024   |   By: The Newsdesk   |   Category: Uncategorized

Pinner residents and beyond flocked to Pinner Memorial Park today (September 7), for the community event of the year; the Pinner Rotary Village Show.

This event is organised annually by volunteers from Pinner Rotary, and included 45 stalls from local organisations, charities, and small traders, as well as an international food court and a licensed bar. Visitors enjoyed performances by Simply Gray, The Brass Foundry, and the award-winning Bollywood group Epika Dance to Inspire, as well as a range of children’s activities including fairground rides, a Punch and Judy show, face painting, and interactive sessions organised by Harrow Scouts.

This year saw a new addition, the Charity Hub, located in Pinner Village Hall, featuring 14 local charities, providing a space for attendees to learn more about the valuable work being done in the area.

My News reporters Ellie and Panayiota spoke to residents, took part in some raffles, enjoyed some tasty snacks and were even interviewed by Pinner Rotary. The pair even got to spend some time with the Mayor of Harrow, councillor Salim Chowdhury.

Money raised from the event will go to Mind in Harrow and the Purple Community Fund.
