ROAD RESTRICTIONS: New parking changes proposed for five Chorleywood roads

Published on: 6th July 2024   |   By: Bryn Holmes   |   Category: Uncategorized

New parking restrictions could be put in place in five roads in Chorleywood if new proposals are approved.

Following a village-wide consultation held in December 2022, Three Rivers District Council (TRDC) is putting forward changes for Chorleywood Bottom, Grove Way, Grovewood Close, Haddon Road and Shire Lane.

Previous proposed changes to Bullsland Gardens, Bullsland Lane and Greenbury Close have been abandoned following a consultation.

Under these proposals, drivers would require permits to park in Grovewood Close and Haddon Road from 10am to 11am from Monday to Friday, while the no waiting zone on Shire Lane would be expanded, as would the no waiting at any time zone on Chorleywood Bottom.

A second consultation on these changes was completed on Friday, June 21.

The TRDC website states: “We will analyse the responses received and report the findings to local ward councillors where a decision will be taken on whether to progress the scheme to the final, statutory stage of consultation or if the scheme should be changed in any way.”
