Young talent from local performing arts school Stagecoach Rickmansworth took the West End by storm at the weekend as part of a performance involving almost 300 students from across the country.

Pupils from Stagecoach Rickmansworth showcased their talents alongside fellow students from various nationwide schools in a special Showcase performance at Her Majesty’s Theatre in the West End. Their piece, Meet The Addams, featured an eight-minute long singing and dancing routine inspired by the Broadway musical.

The performance was part of a large gala event at the iconic Her Majesty’s Theatre in London, which is currently host to the famous West End musical, The Phantom of the Opera, which has been running at the venue for 32 years and has featured several of the schools teachers in the cast!

Kitty Gould, Principal of Stagecoach Performing Arts Chorleywood and Rickmansworth, said: “It was a magical day for all concerned, with the students gaining the wonderful experience of performing in the West End. The pupils put all their efforts into an astounding performance, which had everyone cheering – the standard was so high and the team really stepped up and shone. At Stagecoach, we believe in the potential of every child and performances like these inspire the children to be confident and unleash their talents.
