Croxley’s annual Croxley Revels event returned once more yesterday, with crowds from across the village and beyond flocking to the traditional fair and its assortment of fairground rides, stalls and live entertainment.
Running from 1pm to just after 5pm on Saturday, June 17, it didn’t take long for the Green to become a bustling hive of activity, with local businesses, organisations and charities running events and showing off their wares.
Some of the highlights included a crockery smash game run by the Rickmansworth branch of the Scouts, a cup game run by All Saints Church and several funfair rides for children, including a mini-rollercoaster.
At the centre of the event was the arena, which provided constant entertainment throughout the day. Starting off with the local branch of the Rock Choir, audiences were also treated to dances from Centre Stars, Aviv Dance, Collective Dance and Kaleidoscope Dance, football skills from Croxley FC, show-stopping movies from Harefield Gymnastics, and more.
The afternoon culminated in the highly-anticipated push-ball tournament, with all of Croxley’s primary schools battling it out for supremacy.
Overall, the event was a huge success, following on from last year’s triumphant return after three years’ absence caused by COVID-19 lockdowns.
