Hertfordshire Country Council has confirmed the permanent closure of Little Green Lane in Croxley.
An order from the council came into effect on Monday, December 16. It lays out that “no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle to enter or be in the restricted area” between the junction with Lincoln Drive and 5 Little Green Lane and between Waterdell House and the junction with Sarratt Road.
The ban was put in place “to improve safety for non-motorised road users, to prevent fly tipping and unnecessary use by off-road vehicles”.
Croxley councillor Chris Lloyd shared: “It is something I had been campaigning for since 2020 with support of former councillor Hofmann. It has also been resurfaced, making it more accessible in the winter months for walking, jogging, running, cycling and horse riding.”
