St Peter’s Church in Berkhamsted is calling for both children and adults to join its thriving choir.
The choir sings during Sunday morning services, at the monthly choral evensong, and at multiple community celebrations, as well as Christmas and Easter.
In 2025, the choir will visit Southwark and Sailsbury to experience singing in cathedrals.
The church is particularly reaching out to children and young adults to join the choir.
On Sunday, October 13, St Peter’s is hosting a ‘Be a Chorister’ day, where parents are invited to bring their children aged six and above to try out singing and a range of fun activities. The event is free and refreshments will be provided.
A spokesperson for the choir said: “Young people who sing in a church choir gain fantastic skills that will be with them for life.
“Many of today’s famous musicians found their voice through singing in church – Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake and Ed Sheeran all have a background in church music.”
