All the pupils and staff at Stanburn Primary School in Stanmore marked Remembrance Day by participating in a two-minute silence on Monday, November 11.
Everyone came out into the school grounds and stood united in gratitude, reflecting on the freedoms enjoyed today because of the sacrifices made by those who fought and died in wars to protect our rights and way of life.
The school joined the rest of the country to commemorate the lives of those lost at war, with a local ceremony at Stanmore Chapel on Remembrance Sunday.
The school also completed activates for Anti-Bullying Week which began on Monday, November 11, and will be involved in UK Parliament Week, which begins on Monday, November 18.
According to the UK Parliament Week website, 1.6 million people took part in the event which spreads the word about the role of Parliament across the UK and abroad.
