St Albans City now drop into the relegation zone following their third league defeat in a row.
The Saints entertained Eastbourne Borough at Clarence Park this afternoon (October 12) and the game got off to a promising start.
Joe Iaciofano put the home side ahead in under five minutes.
The club’s top goal scorer managed to wiggle the ball into the back of the next despite being surrounded by red shirts of Eastbourne players.
The winning feeling was short-lived for City fans as James Ferry levelled the scoring on the 17 minute mark with a close range effort.
With half-time quickly approaching Eastbourne clinched a second goal as Elliot Romain headed the ball into the net from a close range cross into the box.
It only went from bad to worse for St Albans when in the 67th minute, The Sports make it 3-1. Michael West scored for the visitors with a low shot that went past City goalkeeper Dean Snedker.
With Eastbourne Borough leaving with three points, St Albans need to try and get out of the relegation zone when Bath City FC travel to Clarence Park on October 19.
