Published on: 25th September 2019   |   By: News Desk   |   Category: Uncategorized

A magician from Apsley has achieved his fourth Guinness World Record in a performance which was streamed live on Blue Peter.

Martin Rees set the record for identifying the most cards out of a deck in one minute and earned a famous Blue Peter badge for his efforts.

Talking about his live TV performance, he said: “It was an intense experience which I wont ever forget. It was incredible and I honestly didn’t want it to end.

“I am over the moon with it. I am still buzzing after breaking it live on Blue Peter and I’m also now the proud owner of a Blue Peter badge.”

Martin’s performance was on the launch of the Guinness World Records 2020 book and was a special one as hundreds of thousands of people tuned in for the BBC show.

In Martin’s world, there is no time for the wicked, as the serial record breaker now has his eyes set on a fifth record which he is planning to achieve in early 2020.

The magician is now looking at breaking the record for the most magic tricks performed underwater in three minutes.

Alongside his most recent record, Martin holds the records for the most magic tricks performed in a wind tunnel in three minutes, most magic tricks performed in a sky diver and the most magic tricks performed while blindfolded in a minute.
