Harrow Council are urging people to get tested for Covid-19 even if they have no symptoms.
New Rapid COVID testing sites have opened at locations including Hatch End and Stanmore in response to high infection rates across Harrow.
Also known as a Lateral Flow Test, Rapid COVID testing gives a positive or negative COVID result in approximately 30-40 minutes.
Harrow Council posted on Twitter: “Feel fine? Get tested. We’ve already found 200 people who didn’t know they had Covid and could have infected hundreds more. New sites, including Hatch End & Stanmore now open to book for anyone 16+ without symptoms. Essential workers, test twice a week..”
The sites have opened to help locate infected residents and break the chain of infection in Harrow. Anyone over 16 with no symptoms of the virus can book a rapid test to take place at Harrow Arts Centre, 171 Uxbridge Road, Hatch End, Pinner, HA5 4EA.
Other rapid COVID test sites in Harrow include St Anns Shopping Centre in Harrow, Cambridge Road Car Park in North Harrow, Civic Centre in Harrow and Wealdstone and Shree Swaminarayan Temple in Stanmore.
Rapid tests must be pre-booked online at harrow.gov.uk/test
