There is ongoing major disruption between Watford Junction and London Euston, due to a fatality at Bushey station.
In a tweet earlier today, London Northwestern Railway (LNR) said: “All lines are blocked between Watford Junction and London Euston following the emergency services dealing with an incident at Bushey.”
In a follow-up tweet, they stated: “Two of the four main lines through Bushey have now reopened.
“Only a very limited train service will be able to operate to/from London Euston until all routes reopen, and disruption is therefore ongoing.”
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Bushey railway station at 1.54pm on June 21, following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, and a person was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
