A man has been charged with four counts of fraud by false representation by a counter terrorism unit, followings raids and investigations in Radlett.
Anopkumar Maudhoo, 45, from Wapping in London, has been charged after Eastern Region Special Operations Unit investigators searched 11 different locations in Radlett and Central London, which saw a speedboat, 22 expensive cars such as Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Aston Martins recovered by police.
Maudhoo was allegedly arrested after offering victims investment opportunities through buying repossessed properties or re-developing plots of land.
Around £70,000 in cash was taken in the raids, and documents and digital devices found will be used as evidence.
Maudhoo was charged on Friday, September 28, which was made formal by police on Tuesday, October 1. It was also confirmed that two men and two women were arrested on suspicion of fraud and money laundering offences.
Maudhoo has been remanded in custody until he appears at Southwark Crown Court on Friday, October 25, and the three others have been released without charge but remain under investigation.
