Pupils at Highwood Primary School in Bushey have more than their lollipop lady to help them on their way to school in the morning.
Lollipop lady Karla Remmington, 45, teams up with her pet cat to help children cross the road.
Geared up for the new term, five-year-old Bandit joins his owner every weekday morning and afternoon during the school year.
Parents and children first spotted the cat a few months ago, when Bandit decided to assist Karla at work.
After falling out with one of his six feline brothers, Bandit decided to spend his days outside the house with his owner instead.
He has now become a regular fixture in the area and particularly enjoys the rain.
Bandit has become a popular character not only with the school community but also other animals in the area. He has made friends with another cat and the pair can often be seen chasing each other up and down the road.
