Visitors of The Radlett Festival 2019 will gain free entry thanks to the generous sponsorship of a local business.
The Radlett Festival, which will be held at the Phillimore Recreation Ground on Sunday, June 9 from noon to 5pm, has been an integral village event since 2004, but locals were left disappointed last summer when the festival couldn’t take place.
Debenhams Ottaway Solicitors, based in Radlett and St Albans, decided to help organisers out this year by sponsoring the event, and allowing villagers to enjoy the day for free.
Ruth Boulton, Debenhams Ottaway partner, said: “We’ve been in the community for decades and we’re completely committed to Radlett and its grounds.
“It was a real shame last year when the festival didn’t go ahead, so this year we wanted to make sure that as many people had access to the festival as possible – we felt it would be a lovely thing to do.
“I think this event in particular can bring the community together, and it’s so special because it celebrates our village.
“An event that brings the village together, especially in times where it can feel fractured, is really important and we’re just delighted to be given the opportunity to sponsor a major Radlett event. We wish the organisers every success and hope lots of people turn up and have a great day.”
