A Radlett businesswoman has found the formula for the perfect protein bar, and is making them bespoke for each customer.
Sue Robinson, through her business, And Here’s To You, has created a range of low-sugar, low-fat protein bars designed to cater for people who really want to avoid eating unhealthily between meals.
She said: “I have always been keen to stay healthy with a mix of moderate exercise and good eating, but I realised there was a gap in the market for protein bars tailored to meet the individual.
“So I went about creating my own and soon found there was a demand from friends and family.”
That’s when And Here’s To You – which clearly relates to Sue’s surname, as well as the aim to help people improve their lives through healthy eating – was born.
The bars are freshly made to order, based on each customer’s taste, and are designed to be frozen until required.
They are all under 200 calories and there are even vegan and gluten-free ranges.
Sue explained: “Customers vary from those who want to lose weight by cutting out unhealthy snacks, to sports people who want to maintain their energy levels without a sugar high.
“My particular routine is to exercise regularly and to maintain energy levels with a diet largely based on protein and non-complex carbohydrates. That is the starting point for my protein bars.”
There are many flavours including chocolate/banana, chocolate orange, berry, raspberry and white chocolate, lemon drop, salted caramel and apple and cinnamon. The standard 70g bars are priced at £20 for a box of eight.
