POLICE INVESTIGATION: Two women hit by car in Hemel Hempstead

Officers investigating a serious collision in Hemel Hempstead are appealing for witnesses and information to assist with their enquiries.

At around 10.20am this morning (Friday, September 26), a collision occurred involving a black Ford Focus and two pedestrians in Queens Square in Adeyfield, outside Prudens Bakery.

The two pedestrians involved were a woman in her 50s and a woman in her 80s.

Officers attended the collision along with colleagues from the East of England Ambulance Service as well as the Herts and Essex Air Ambulance Service.

The woman in her 80s has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, where she remains at this time.

Detective Sergeant Shona Birkby from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “I am asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision to please contact police if you witnessed this incident.

“If you have dash cam footage that could assist the investigation, please upload it at herts.police.uk/dashcamupload.”
