Police were called at around 4.50pm on Saturday, January 21 to report an altercation involving parties known to each other on Watling Street, Radlett.
It was reported a man was seen with a knife during the incident.
Armed officers attended the scene and NPAS was deployed to assist with an area search.
A 56-year-old man was located on the High Street and subsequently arrested on suspicion of affray, common assault and possession of an offensive weapon.
Following a search, no weapons were recovered at the scene and no injuries were reported.
He has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
