A man has been arrested after a property in Watford was broken into at around 4.15am on Monday, March 13.

Police were called to report that a man was seen breaking into Paparazzi in The Parade. It was reported that a man had smashed the front windows of the building in order to gain access and several bottles of alcohol were stolen.

Officers attended and a man was arrested in Albert Road North on suspicion of burglary and possession of a class B drug (cannabis). He remains in police custody at this time.

Safer Neighbourhood Team Inspector Matt Langley said: “Thanks to the vigilant member of the public who called us to report this, we were able to make a swift arrest. Our investigation remains ongoing at this time, and anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting crime reference number 41/20659/23.

“We would always advise you call 999 immediately if you witness someone behaving suspiciously – a crime could be in progress, and by calling us we have the best possible chance of catching the offender.”
