Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a burglary in Rickmansworth after sat navs and a radio was stolen. Between 10am on Sunday February 21 and 9am the next morning, someone has gained entry to a building, in Bury Lane, Rickmansworth, used by WRVS by unknown means. They have searched the property before making off with items including two sat nav devices, a digital radio and two bottles of whisky. Sgt Neil Canning, from the Rickmansworth Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “As well as taking property, significant damage was caused to a side door and internal doors by the intruders. I would urge anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious between these times to contact police as soon as possible.” Anyone with information should contact the Safer Neighbourhood Team via the police non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference C2/16/451. Alternatively, if you have any information about this incident you can contact the independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through their Anonymous Online Form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will never need to go to court.
