Police in Watford are looking for witnesses after a teenager was pushed down an escalator in the atria shopping centre.

The incident occurred on Friday, January 14 inside the complex’s Next store at around 1pm.

A 16-year-old boy was shoved after an altercation with two other males. The boy received multiple cuts to various parts of his body.

Hertfordshire Constabulary are particularly interested in tracking down a young female who may have seen the incident take place.

Investigation officer PC Jessica Tanseli said: “Enquiries are continuing at this time to establish the circumstances around what happened, including reviewing CCTV footage. As part of our investigation, we’d also like to hear from anyone who saw the incident, or the events leading up to it.

“We’re particularly keen to hear from a dark-haired female who was in the area at the time, as she may have vital information.

“She was wearing dark clothing and carrying a bag. If this was you, please contact us.”
