St Albans City FC will be disappointed not to have picked up all three points this afternoon after Ian Allinson’s men drew 1-1 at Slough Town.
After a quiet start, St Albans grew into the game and Joe Iaciofano burst into the box after 16 minutes but his effort hit the inside of the post.
It was the hosts who went ahead though in the 39th minute via a long range strike.
After weathering an early storm in the second half, St Albans grew into the game and grabbed a well-deserved equaliser when Bobson Bawling picked up the ball on the right of the box and crossed for Joe Iaciofano to poke the ball home.
After more pressure from Slough, St Albans were desperately unlucky not to take the lead when a shot from Albert Adu crashed off the bar.
Although the Saints had to soak up some late pressure from the hosts, they travelled back to Hertfordshire with a share of the spoils.
