Singer and television presenter Peter Andre delighted local fans this weekend when he visited Watford. The Mysterious Girl singer popped into Tesco Extra in Lower High Street on Saturday to promote his new perfume and meet his fans. Peter signed bottles of his new perfume duo for women – titled Forever and Forever Young, between 12pm and 2pm. He also took the time to chat to the many locals who had visited the store to see him. He even signed one fan’s shirt. Local photographer Hannah Crick attended the event and was delighted to meet the celebrity. She told My Watford News: “Peter was his usual jokey self, greeted us photographers with a handshake and asked our names. When I told him my name was Hannah his reply was ‘that’s really hard to spell backwards!’ He also introduced me to Chris, his brother. “He was taking his time with all the fans.” Peter, who currently presents ITV shows 60 Minute Makeover and Sunday Scoop, took to Twitter to thank the town for welcoming him. He commented: “Thanks Watford…You’re awesome!” A spokesperson for Tesco said: “The event was very well received with hundreds of fans filling the aisles to get their Peter Andre fragrance signed.” Photo by Hannah Crick
