A driving instructor and her star pupil were both celebrating last month after they achieved a unique double.
17-year-old Daniel Loader achieved an enviable feat when he passed his driving test at the first time of asking – with zero faults.
Only a very small minority achieve this result and Daniel was understandably thrilled.
His examiner commented: “That was a lovely safe drive, I could see that you have really spent a lot of time on the road, and were very aware of your surroundings and how to control the car.”
Daniel’s driving instructor, Alison Saggars, who has been teaching in the Bushey and Watford area for the past 12 years, was extremely proud of him.
She said: “I have known Daniel since he was one year old and participated in the Fizzifun activity sessions I used to run at Bushey Grove Leisure Centre. He has worked very hard and thoroughly deserves this success.”
Interestingly, just a few weeks previously, she was also examined. In her Standards Check, a regular test undertaken by all ADIs to ensure fitness and ability to teach, she achieved an A grade with full marks, 51/51, again, one in a very small minority.
