Neil Clarke of Lucas Fettes & Partners have raised the highest figure yet from their annual dinner for Peace Hospice Care, The event, at Sopwell House, St. Albans, featured a delicious three course dinner plus a charity auction and casino and raised £13,759.50 for Peace Hospice Care, bringing the total that the voluntary committee have raised over 21 years to more than £104,000. The event was extra special for Toastmaster Howard Robbins who was presented with an engraved gavel and block to mark 20 years presiding over the event. Neil Clarke praised his skills as Toastmaster and Auctioneer: “With Howard at the helm the charity auction is always a great success – this year guests went away with fantastic lots such as England/Wales Rugby tickets, a trip on a yacht and a day at the Chelsea Flower Show.” Rachel Fowler, Corporate Development Manager at Peace Hospice Care added “this is a fabulous event and the amount raised both this year and over its 21 year history really does help us to continue providing vital services to patients and families across South West Hertfordshire.” If anyone would be interested in knowing more about the dinner in 2015 please contact Jonathan Bailey on 01582 461588.
