What makes Croxley the place we know today is the rich history that is embedded into the village’s culture.
Commemorating 80 years since VE Day, the Croxley Green History Project (CGHP) is inviting residents to a free exhibition to learn about what Croxley was like during the Second World War.
At the Wartime in Croxley Green exhibition, attendees will have the opportunity to read about the secrets of Croxley House, the duties of the Home Guard, and how daily life in the village has changed through the years.
You can also find out about the important events that took place on our doorstep and which played an important role in bringing peace to Europe.
Speaking to CROXLEYnews, a member of CGHP said: “This display is just a snippet of what people can learn. It is about passing history through the generations. There is so much local history for people to discover.”
The event will take place at Croxley Green Library from Tuesday, May 6, to Friday, May 16.
