Three local artists will feature in an exciting new art festival in Leavesden Country Park at the end of the month.
Organisers Victoria Culf, Eleanor Sidaway and Jackie Uphill are currently preparing for Art in the Park, a free event which will take place from 11am to 4pm on Monday, August 28.
The event will see artwork from local artists and groups put on display and offered for sale, with demonstrations also available, such as in the Indonesian dyeing technique of batik.
Children at the event can also enjoy collecting art in a special booklet.
Local artists from Abbots Langley who will be in attendance include silk painter Eleanor, jewellery maker Lynne Watkins, and pet and wildlife painter Laura Creasey.
Eleanor says: “We are delighted to host this day where people can come and get involved in all kinds of arty activities, meeting the artists and having a go themselves.
“We’ve had lots of support from Three Rivers District Council, Abbots Langley Parish Council and Warner Bros. and it promises to be a fantastic day.”
