Local substance misuse charity Drugslink wins Most Innovative Care Team at The Hertfordshire Care Awards.
Drugslink have been rewarded for reaching the highest of standards and achieving excellence at the eighth annual Hertfordshire Care Awards.
Drugslink is a dedicated care team based in Hemel Hempstead that is made up of 33 people who are dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by the misuse of alcohol and other drugs. Each service user is given their own individualised treatment plan which is tailored to best suit them and to give them the best chance at recovery.
Joe Hunter has previously received support from the team at Drugslink.
He said: “They really care and it’s very individual. There are a lot of different people from different backgrounds with different issues and they really help with everything. I feel like I’ve had my life handed back to me.”
The team at Drugslink are extremely honoured and delighted to have won this prestigious award and are thankful their hard work and dedication has been recognised. Drugslink pride themselves on their forward thinking approach to recovery, and have developed a pathway tackling not just detox and rehabilitation, but rebuilding lives and educating.
