A Chalfont St Giles resident has published his debut crime novel titled Trust treachery & Retribution.
Peter Dennness, a father of two from the village, has spent his life working in construction and property and has now branched out and written a gripping thriller crime novel.
Trust Treachery & Retribution published on February 9, 2022, is a gripping story is about greed, murder and revenge that has numerous twists and turns.
Peter began to write the novel during the lockdown, and after a few chapters, the story quickly evolved. He said: “I found the process quite enjoyable, and some days found the characters took over and it wrote itself.
“Overall, it took a year to write, but the most difficult discipline was to condense the manuscript down to make the plot as dynamic as possible. For me ditching over 30,000 words was an extremely difficult process to go through.
“It is about a deception that completely skews the lives of two people and forces the protagonist to adapt, survive and to ultimately become an extremely dangerous adversary.”
The debut novel takes readers from the comforts of the London suburbs to uptown Manhattan. Characters of the book include a corrupt lawyer, an avaricious playboy, a Mexican gangster, the affections of a beautiful prostitute and a dangerous Yardie, is about greed, murder and revenge.
