An author from St Albans has recently released his debut novel, which he hopes will make readers aware of where “society is heading”.
Aaron Gransby released his debut novel Outside that is available in hardback and paperback by Gerard Books available as an ebook on Amazon.
The novel is set in a near-future society where the economic powerhouse of The City, administered by an unelected government called The Board, dominates the nation.
Journalist Rory Kennet finds himself removed from the city when he starts looking into the disappearance of an innocent civil servant on behalf of a friend.
He must get used to a new existence away from the wealth of the continuous city, where he makes a promise to learn the truth behind The Board’s Removals policy.
It is an investigation which in turn sheds a new light on his whole existence.
Speaking on the release Aaron said: “I’m hoping that Outside will make people think a bit about where our society is heading, particularly after the last few difficult years. But anyone buying the book will find it’s a highly readable thriller which can be enjoyed on that level too.”
