OPEN LETTERS: Meridan post office finally reopens after seven month wait

Published on: 23rd December 2021   |   By: Bryn Holmes   |   Category: Uncategorized

The Meridan Post Office has reopened in a new location seven months after the original location’s closure following the area’s redevelopment.

The new shop can be found at Unit 7 on York Way, moving from the former shopfront at the Gossamers, which now lies completely empty along with the rest of the structure.

It has three counters for use and offers to residents an extra 35 hours of service a week and the ability for customers of the main UK banks to access their accounts directly from this new branch.

Graham Simmons, Network Provision Lead, said: “We are delighted to have restored a full-time, permanent Post Office to the Meriden area of Watford, as we know how important Post Office services are to a community. The new premises look great.”
