A garden featured in the National Garden Scheme (NGS) yellow book opened for a third time in Northwood and proved to be the best yet, raising £1,700 for charity.
The large family garden in Ormonde Road owned by Yogesh and Hasruty Patel was planted with acers, magnolias and rhododendrons.
The rare large variegated flowering tulip tree in the middle towers over the garden, while conifers and high hedges help to keep the garden very private.
There are a variety of trees which appealed to many.
The Patels added clematis, an almond tree, a Persian iron wood, a forest pansy and much more besides in order to develop the garden further.
In total, 207 visitors came to look round the garden, with glorious weather throughout the day.
Gardener Hasruty is hoping to raise more than £2,000 next year and has already started planning for it.
