A popular bistro in Kings Langley reopened on Saturday, October 19, with “exciting things planned” for the festive season.
Matilda’s, located on the High Street, had only been open for 10 weeks when a car veered off the road and crashed into the restaurant’s front window, as reported in the September edition of KINGSnews. The team joked online that they were “not a drive-through”.
The restaurant then had to temporarily close to allow the damage to be repaired.
Following works to improve the damage, the site now boasts a new window and updated menu.
Speaking to KINGSnews, owner Sam Cowham shared: “It’s just one of those things and we are going to get there. It’s a great time of year to reopen and we are excited to get going.”
In a post on social media, the team shared: “Thanks for everyone who has checked in over the past couple of months and offered to help.
“We are really looking forward to welcoming back all our loyal customers and new ones too!”
