A man was arrested near Chorleywood railway station after nearly crashing into a police car and speeding on the wrong side of the road.
It happened on Sunday, May 30, around 9.30pm, and the offender’s car was seen driving towards a police vehicle nearly causing a crash.
A Herts Police spokesperson said: “A Nissan Micra was seen to travel down the wrong side of the road at speed towards a police vehicle.
“The vehicle was stopped, and the driver was searched.
“A drugs wipe was also carried out due to a smell of cannabis in the vehicle and provided a positive result.”
A man was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
