A two-time cancer survivor is bringing together iconic DJs from Watford as part of a charity fundraiser next month.
Tino Alcorano told WATFORDnews: “I battled cancer not once, but twice, and emerged victorious. After 14 years in remission, I felt compelled to give back. So, with the support of my partner, amazing DJs, and all of you who make it possible, we’ve been hosting charity events over the years.
“Together, we’ve raised thousands of pounds for the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre, where I received life-saving treatment, and for Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, where I spent months undergoing treatment and adapting to life’s changes.
“The hospital staff were incredible, and I’ve witnessed first-hand how cancer affects so many lives. It’s time to give back and make a difference once again.”
The event is taking place at Canvas Bar & Nightclub on Saturday, July 6, and will bring together iconic DJs who played in Watford venues such as Area, Bar Risa, Kandy Klub, Kudos, Old Westminster, and many more in the 90s.
Tino continued: “To all the DJs and the venue, thank you for generously donating your time to help raise money for the hospital. Your support means the world.”
Tickets cost £10 and can be purchased from events.liveit.io/canvas-presents/one-night-only
This event is for those aged 21 and over.
