GRAND OPENING: Michael Sobell Hospice inpatient unit set to reopen

Michael Sobell Hospice (MSH) is to open its new inpatient unit next month. 

It is news many local people have wanted to hear and will be opened on Saturday, December 14 at 10am at Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood.

MSH supporters, volunteers and the wider local community an opportunity to have the opportunity to look around the newly refurbished facility before it opens its doors to patients the following week.

Commenting on the opening, Michael Sobell Hospice Charity chair of trustees, Michael Breen, said: “The new team of trustees and I have worked tirelessly alongside many other towards this day and we are absolutely over the moon that we can now let the community know the service will be here to serve them.

“This is the start of a new journey for Michael Sobell Hospice Charity and the new team of trustees, and we hope the community will re-engage and support our efforts to fundraise, to keep the service alive.”

Free parking will be available on the day in car parks F and B, via Gate three off White Hill, WD3 1PZ.

Refreshments will also be available with music courtesy of Tony Oliver’s Jazz Days.
